Amidst the crazy amount of Amore Stoudemire trade rumors, it seems likely that Amar’e will likely stay in Phoenix according to Suns owner Robert Sarver. Phoenix Suns owner Robert Sarver has informed All-Star center STAT that he is not going to be dealt out prior to Thursday’s 3 p.m. ET trading deadline in an email Thursday morning to ESPN.com. Robert Sarver affirmed stories in the Arizona Republic that he met privately together with Amare Wednesday following the loss in Dallas to let him know that the Suns are now not searching to relocate him.
Stoudemire has averaged 26.6 points and 11.7 boards through the previous seven games and started for the West in Sunday’s All-Star Game. “I think I’m pretty much safe,” Stoudemire told FanHouse after his brief chat with Sarver. “I feel good about it. But I would have felt good either way.” Continue reading on Planet Suns Blog

Amare Stoudemire has publicly stated the
trade rumors have distracted him. It should probably be an evident truth glaring to any person watching the Phoenix Suns these days and even is undoubtedly an obvious line in the Phoenix Suns boxscore’s. Should you need some type of proof simply because you are too lazy to check for your self this is certainly what I’m here for — he seems to have got only 21 rebounds in the last Five games. He furthermore picked off only 1 single board versus the Dallas Mavericks.

Yesterday we covered the basics of the most recent Amare Stoudemire trade rumors to hit the Internet and I touched on the ones I felt had the most merit, with regard to interest from any given team. The Miami Herald has taken a keen interest in Amare Stoudemire and the Jermaine O’Neal rumor is heating up. It seems as though the scenario I touched upon where Amare Stoudemire gets traded to Miami and teams up with Dwyane Wade to form an almost unstoppable offensive duo is getting a little bit more credibility.
As a fan of the Phoenix Suns I’m utilizing this time to begin the point where I worry. Either way, lets go ahead and pick apart the scenario that sends STAT to Miami and analyze the who and what with respect to the why and how and whatever else we can come up with… Continue reading on Planet Suns Blog

This is absolutely ridiculous. The Phoenix Suns lose by a point from a long range 3 point shot by Jamaal Crawford.
It is for that reason I will no longer talk about today’s game, rather, I’ll bring up the Phoenix Suns Dancers. In particular, I’d like to show some pictures of the auditions earlier this year.

Yuhhh

The Springfield nuclear power plant is in better hands with Homer Simpson as its safety inspector than a big lead is in the Suns’ hands. Continue reading on Planet Suns Blog
The Phoenix Suns game last night against the Houston Rockets was chalk full of more streaks than your sister at university. Don’t think we didn’t know about that. We got the pictures too.
Fellow friend and blogger Michael at ValleyoftheSuns already claimed his dominance in the recap game. To attempt to do one myself would almost be like saying I could do better. I can’t. Not even going to try either.
I figure I’ll focus on the roller coaster aspect of the game. Is it just me or does the ability to come up and battle any given team, even the defensive ones, and go on streaks of 10+ breaking apart their defense like it was built with Lego’s suggest or at least imply the potential this team could have? I mean, they have got a lot to cover and a lot to learn but does it not imply that we could build upon this young core?
Of course there is also the downside, and perhaps much more likely scenario, that Steve Nash is just smoov.
You have to love Phoenix’s own New Times for this little precious gem… I’m sure everybody has heard about Gilbert Arenas business so much, we all have doctorate degrees in his business. What I haven’t seen yet has been the good that can come out of dude going nuts.
What good you ask? In the locker room, the following question was asked amongst the players.
Who, someone posed, would be the player, past or present, you’d want most to have your back in a tough, i.e. life-threatening, situation?
Unanimously, the answer was Mr. Gilbert Arenas. The New Times continued by saying,
But at least Arenas did win the pundits’ unofficial “Guy Who Would Best Cover Your Back” award at the Suns game last night.
Maybe that’s because a bullet is a better bet than an elbow to the face or a knee to a kidney.
And that reminds us, the Washington Wizards nickname used to be the Bullets, until owner Abe Pollin (who died recently) decided to change it because he didn’t want his team associated with violence.
Arenas, as it turns out, is no wizard.

For quite some time now I had known about a conflicting issue between the Planet Suns RSS feed (Subscribe Now) and some code I had added to the website. Little did I know that it would turn out to be a relatively large issue.
The feeds were completely broken and had essentially shut off for a couple of months. Obviously it’s not going to affect any of the current visitors or even the ability to work and use the website. What it does do though is render the benefits of RSS feeds useless and most of which, translate to promotion. Continue reading on Planet Suns Blog
